🔹My job is plumbing for buildings. I’ve been unemployed for six months and I’m ashamed of what I’ve become to my wife and kids. I don’t know what to do.

🔹I’m sending this from Karaj. I’m a 30-year-old young man who was forced to pull out several of my teeth. For the rest of my life, because of the high prices, I’ll have to stay without teeth. One hand of Iranian removable dentures costs 40 million tomans, which I don’t have.

🔹10 years ago, my friends and I—who came from middle-class families—would, in a moment, decide to go to the best fast-food place in the city, eat the best food, and not worry about the money, but now even though all of us are working, for months we haven’t gone out, because even a cup of tea in a café has become 150,000 tomans.

🔹I work in a hospital. A lot of patients, because of prices, take their medicines halfway, switch their pharmaceutical company, give up on treatment, and end up with serious complications. Surprisingly, the number of these people has become much higher than before.

🔹The medicine that we received in the month of Khordad—200 tablets—cost 8 million tomans. In the month of Shahrivar, we received the same one for 24 million tomans.

🔹I bought a 60-count package of L-arginine 1000 for 1 million tomans. Two months ago, the price of the same package was 600,000 tomans.

🔹With this price-increase resolution for gasoline, what happens to the gasoline ration share of foreign cars? These cars have had no ration share for a few months now because the validity dates of their green cards are according to the Gregorian calendar.

🔹Stationery has become very expensive. A good school bag has become 5 million tomans. A pencil case is 800,000 tomans.

🔹One kilo of cucumber is 180,000 tomans, one kilo of tomatoes is 80,000 tomans, a bottle of milk is 150,000 tomans, and a piece of barbari bread is 35,000 tomans! You can no longer buy even the bare minimum things.
