🔻Qatar condemns Iran’s attacks on Kuwait
🔻The Qatar Ministry of Foreign Affairs called Iran’s renewed attacks on Kuwait a violation of the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as a violation of international law.
Qatar said that “these attacks have complicated efforts to contain tensions and could harm diplomatic efforts aimed at ensuring security and stability in the region.”
The statement emphasized that Iran “bears legal responsibility for these attacks and their consequences.”
While announcing solidarity with Kuwait, Qatar said it will support actions that the country takes to preserve its sovereignty and security.
The Qatari foreign ministry also called for “the cessation of military actions in the region, avoiding further escalation of tensions, and returning to dialogue and negotiations based on previous diplomatic understandings.”
Following recent U.S. attacks, Iran has also said that it targeted U.S. bases in Kuwait and Jordan.
