🔻 Pezeshkian met with India’s prime minister
Masoud Pezeshkian, on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in New Delhi, met and held talks with Narendra Modi, the prime minister of India.
According to Iranian media, Pezeshkian emphasized “the need to develop joint cooperation and continue the strategic agreements” between the two countries.
The presidents of Russia and China are other BRICS member countries whose leaders are attending the summit.
An hour earlier, Pezeshkian, in a speech at the economic meeting of the BRICS leaders, called for closer cooperation among member countries in the fields of banking and monetary affairs.
He said, referring to U.S. sanctions: “The increasing use of economic tools to exert economic pressure has jeopardized the legitimate trade of other countries.”
