Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said any attack by the Islamic Republic of Iran on Israel would be met with a strong response that could include targets that have not been hit so far, including Iran’s main energy facilities.

Katz said: “Such a blow will set Iran back by decades and will further destabilize the Islamic Republic’s government.”

He added that the Israeli army is on standby at the instruction of the country’s prime minister and he is prepared to carry out this mission.

Katz also wished the Jewish community in Iran a safe year on the occasion of the Jewish New Year, and told the Iranian people: “I wish that next year Tehran will be freed from oppression and despotism.”
