🔻Ghana Football Federation officially announced the renewal of Queiroz’s contract, the Portuguese coach of the country’s national team. Queiroz will lead Ghana in continental and international competitions.

🔹Before the start of the 2026 World Cup, Queiroz took charge of Ghana on a short-term four-month contract, and after the sacking of Otto Addo, coached the team at the World Cup.

🔹After the end of the initial contract, Queiroz’s future in Ghana remained shrouded in uncertainty. Queiroz’s overdue salary and that of the coaching staff were among the main obstacles to renewing the contract, but with the entry of Ghana’s Ministry of Sports and the resolution of this financial issue, the two sides’ negotiations to continue their cooperation reached an agreement.

🔹At the 2026 World Cup, Queiroz succeeded in taking Ghana to the round of 16, but the team exited the tournament after a one-nil defeat against Colombia.

🔹As Ghana continues its path in the qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations, in a crucial match it will face Ivory Coast.
