🔸Foreign currency prices in Iran’s free market recorded a new high on Wednesday morning, 18 Shahrivar, and the value of the US dollar against the Iranian rial reached an unprecedented figure of 230,000 tomans.
🔸Currency and gold rate-reporting websites reported that on Wednesday noon the price of the US dollar rose to 230,400 tomans. The price of the euro, the currency unit of European countries, was reported at more than 267,000 tomans, and the British pound was also announced at 312,000 tomans.
🔸Meanwhile, the price of each so-called Imam gold coin was reported to have hit a fresh record of 240 million tomans in free-market trading.
🔸The increase in the prices of foreign currencies and gold in Iran comes after the intensification of the so-called “Economic Expulsion Operation” of the Islamic Republic by the United States, through the execution of an economic pressure program, to the extent that the Iranian rial has lost more than 10% of its value over the past two weeks.
