🔸Following the publication of reports about a shortage of medicine in Iran, the Ministry of Health spokesperson confirmed that companies’ efforts to import influenza vaccines have “not reached a definitive outcome.”

🔸Hossein Kermanpour, late Wednesday, September 25, wrote on the social media platform X: “So far, the efforts of the importing companies of the European influenza vaccines Influvac and Vaxigrip have not yet reached a definitive outcome.”

🔸These vaccines are used to prevent seasonal influenza and are mainly produced by companies in the Netherlands and France.

🔸An official at Iran’s Ministry of Health added: “The conditions of war are difficult, and despite the order in Bahman 1404, their supply and transfer have still not been finalized.” He also expressed hope that the publication of his message would not cause it to become a “target of insults.”

🔸Previously, some health officials in Iran’s government had reported a shortage of influenza vaccines this year.

🔸In recent months, multiple reports have been published about shortages and increases in the price of medicine and vaccines in Iran, alongside Iran’s naval blockade and severe restrictions on financial transfers and transportation.
