🔻Damage to two pumping stations of Saudi Arabia’s East-West pipeline in last week’s attack
Three oil and security sources told Reuters that two pumping stations for Saudi Arabia’s strategic East-West pipeline were damaged in last week’s attack, and no specific timeline has yet been set for their full repair.
The pipeline, about 1,200 kilometers long and running across the Arabian Peninsula, is operated by Saudi Aramco and plays an important role in transferring oil without transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
Saudi officials had previously said that the pipeline was temporarily taken offline on Friday after a drone attack launched from Iraqi territory.
Aramco and the Saudi government media office have not yet responded to Reuters’ request for comment on the extent of the damage.
