Joe Wilson, a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives, welcomed the passage of the “Russia and Iran Sanctions Lindsey Graham Act of 2026” and said: “I would like to thank my fellow colleagues across both parties in the House of Representatives and the Senate for commemorating the passage of this law. We are looking forward to President Donald Trump signing this important law.”

The U.S. House of Representatives passed the bill on Wednesday by 262 votes in favor to 159 against, and sent it to President Donald Trump for his signature.

In addition to sanctions related to Russia, the measure extends the Iran sanctions law’s validity until 2031.
