🔸The Kanun for the Intellectual Development of Children and Teenagers in Lavasanat was sealed on Wednesday, the 18th of Shahrivar, following a legal dispute between the Kanun, the municipality, and the Office of Endowments (Aqaf), which has sparked widespread reaction among residents of the area.

🔸Mehnaz Kazemi, the lawyer for the Kanun for the Intellectual Development of Children and Teenagers, told Rokna: “This property’s land belongs to Aqaf, and the building belongs to the municipality, but Aqaf has leased this complex to a private individual with a high financial value, and this individual, based on an ‘eviction’ (removal from possession) order, carried out the sealing of the complex.”

🔸The public relations director general of the Kanun for the Intellectual Development of Children and Teenagers said that with the entry of the Tehran provincial governorship, the execution of the order was halted and the sealing was lifted. He stated that the root of the matter goes back to a legal dispute between the municipality and the Office of Endowments regarding the land and the manner of its assignment.

🔸The public relations director general of the Kanun also, in explaining the latest status of the case, said: With follow-up and the intervention of the Tehran provincial governorship, the execution of the order was stopped and the sealing was lifted so that, within a one-month deadline, the legal dispute among the Kanun, the municipality, and the Office of Endowments would be definitively resolved.
