Britain’s government published a new law on Tuesday, 17 Shahrivar, to intensify sanctions against the Islamic Republic, increasing trade restrictions and expanding this country’s authority to target ships.
The British government said the law is part of a wider effort to curb the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program and counter its other hostile activities.
Under this law, the Islamic Republic’s access to the United Kingdom’s financial system will be more limited, and trade bans will be extended to additional goods, technologies and services.
The law also increases the United Kingdom’s powers to sanction ships and bans Iranian aircraft landings in this country, except in cases covered by exemptions.
