Videos shared on social media show the moment of U.S. attacks on the city of Chabahar in southern Iran.

According to these reports, the attacks on the evening of Wednesday, Tir 17, targeted an air and naval base belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Chabahar. Iran’s state broadcaster reported that in the U.S. attack on Chabahar, the Beheshti pier, the Kalanteri pier, and the maritime traffic control tower were targeted, and that damage was done to these facilities.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) had previously confirmed the start of a new round of attacks on Iran in a statement and said the operation was carried out to reduce the Islamic Republic’s ability to threaten freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
