Turkey’s president, Erdoğan:
In traditional wars, the determining factors were the concentration of forces and the number of available equipment.
Today, we are witnessing that technology, intelligence, unmanned systems, rapid decision-making, and support mechanisms have been added to these factors.
Wars no longer occur only on the battlefield. They are also carried out through cyberattacks and disinformation campaigns.
Critical infrastructure, electricity transmission lines, and commercial routes are targeted by suicide drones.
In this new operational environment, in which real-time detection and information have become important factors for increasing power, planning as well as command and control have become more important than ever.
Today, with pride, I announce:
The trained forces at our National Defense University have demonstrated outstanding performance in both areas: planning and command and control.
