Cancellation of meeting between one of the officials of Mammadani’s office and Iran’s representative
“City Journal,” a New York print publication, has reported that based on images of an invitation recorded in a work calendar that the outlet has seen, as well as statements from a source connected to international affairs at the New York City Hall and another informed source, Ana María Archila, commissioner of the New York City Hall Office of International Affairs, was expected to meet with the representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the United Nations.
According to this report, the meeting was scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, 16 Tir (July 7), with Amirsaeed Iravani, the permanent representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations.
The meeting was set to take place in the building “2 United Nations Plaza” and with the presence of two other senior officials from the New York City mayor’s international affairs office. The building is part of the complex of buildings around the United Nations, and is the location of offices and various representations associated with international activities.
