🔹10,000 tomans for a liter of gasoline may be just a number for some people, but for the public it means another step toward a harder life. When the price of something goes up, it’s not only that same item that becomes expensive; the ripple of inflation reaches people’s bread, fares, trips, and tables.

🔹It’s not only about gasoline. When gasoline becomes expensive, everything becomes expensive with it; car fares, Snapp (taxi app), bread, food, restaurants.

🔹With the rise in gasoline prices, the feeling of taking a trip also ended. A 10-minute drive out in the car and circling around was over. Us young people have said goodbye to our little comforts for a long time.

🔹At first they said gasoline would be 80,000 tomans per liter, and then they approved 10,000 tomans, so that people would say it’s cheap—this is the policy of the Islamic Republic.

🔹Is the public’s concern only about 10,000-tomans gasoline? Just today, vegetable oil and rice have also become 50% more expensive. The five-kilogram vegetable oil that used to cost two million and 200,000 tomans has become four million tomans.

🔹10,000-tomans gasoline equals the humiliation of fathers, the depression of young people under economic pressure, the hopelessness of children, the collapse of lives, and the impoverishment of society.

🔹At a minimum, they increased gasoline prices by 100%. If they’re telling the truth, then they should also raise a civil servant’s salary by 100%. Where in the world is a civil servant’s base salary 100 dollars? We buy all goods with the dollar.

🔹If we had normal economic conditions like the rest of the world and our vehicle fuel consumption was at a normal level worldwide, then an increase in gasoline prices wouldn’t have mattered.
