U.S. Forces Concluded the 11th Night of Attacks Against Iran

TAMPA, Florida — At 8:15 p.m. on July 21 Eastern Time (03:45 Iran time), the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) successfully concluded the 11th consecutive night of attacks against Iran.

In this operation, CENTCOM forces targeted Iran’s military operations centers, naval capabilities, aircraft hangars, drone maintenance facilities, and military logistics infrastructure in order to further weaken the country’s ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

Over the past three months, Iran has attacked more than 30 commercial ships transiting through this international waterway, which is crucial to regional and global trade. These unjustified attacks have put the lives of hundreds of non-combatant sailors at risk and undermined freedom of navigation.

Despite Iran’s actions, commercial vessel traffic through the Strait of Hormuz continues. Since the beginning of May, CENTCOM forces have assisted the passage of approximately 900 commercial ships and the transfer of nearly 450 million barrels of crude oil.
