The IRGC Navy announced that, in response to the U.S. Army’s attack on three oil tankers belonging to the Islamic Republic, it has targeted three tankers traveling through the “unauthorized” route in the Strait of Hormuz and three vessels affiliated with the United States in other areas.
In its statement, the force said that the U.S. attack on three Islamic Republic tankers on Saturday morning, 14 Shahrivar, caused damage to them, but it did not provide details about the extent of the damage or the status of the crew.
The IRGC Navy also announced that vessels currently in the Persian Gulf and near the Strait of Hormuz should refrain from taking routes that the Islamic Republic deems “unauthorized,” adding that any vessel that has “suspicious activity” will be targeted.
