🔺 The 12-year sentence of Sadegh Saadi-Nia has been upheld by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic

▪ Sadegh Saadi-Nia, the manager of Sadegh Nia chain cafes, was sentenced by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic to 12 years and 6 months in prison, the confiscation of assets, and two years’ disqualification from working in cafe business.

▪ The Mizan news agency, affiliated with the judiciary, announced that the verdict in Sadegh Saadi-Nia’s case was upheld by the Supreme Court.

▪ According to this report, during the protests in December of last year in Qom, and in parallel with the calls that were circulated in social media networks, Saadi-Nia published posts on his Instagram pages related to his cafes and stores.

▪ Mizan claimed that these posts were published in support of the closure of cafes and in line with the protest calls that had been issued.
