Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that Israeli artillery is shelling the outskirts of the settlement of Kfarika in the Marjeyoun district in southern Lebanon.

The news agency has not published information about casualties or damage.

Israeli forces on Tuesday evening also shelled nearby forest areas with heavy machine guns and targeted the valleys of al-Salouqi and al-Hajir with artillery.

The attacks are part of the ongoing wave of escalation from the past week in southern Lebanon. Attacks early on Monday on the settlement of Kafrarman left at least 11 dead.
