Fox News confirmed the «damage» to American aircraft in Iran’s missile attacks on Jordan

🔸 Fox News, citing a senior American official, confirmed that Iranian ballistic missiles, during the large-scale missile attack on Tuesday, September 17, hit U.S. fighter jets stationed in Jordan.

🔸 Fox News published this report, citing its senior correspondent Jennifer Griffin.

🔸 CBS News had been the first network to release this issue, reporting that during Iran’s missile attacks on the U.S. forces base in Jordan, «several U.S. military aircraft have been damaged.»

🔸 On Wednesday, September 18, the Jordanian army, in a statement, said that during the previous night Iran fired 20 ballistic missiles toward Jordan. The statement said that during the attack, 18 of Iran’s missiles were tracked and destroyed, and the other two missiles hit unoccupied open space.

🔸 However, on the same day, a CBS reporter published a post on the X network, citing «informed sources», about damage to several American aircraft at the successful Sultan Al-Salta base in Jordan.

🔸 Jennifer Jacobs, in continuation, wrote from the perspective of her sources that eight F-15 fighter jets sustained minor damage that, after repairs, were operational again; but one wing of an A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft was destroyed.

🔸 Military sources who spoke to CBS, due to the sensitivity of the issue, did not agree to disclose their identities; but they emphasized that no U.S. military personnel were killed in these attacks.
