Donald Trump, the U.S. president, on Thursday, 19 Shahrivar, rejected reports about damage to the country’s military aircraft in the Islamic Republic’s attack on the Muwaffaq al-Salt base in Jordan.
In an interview with NewsNation, when asked about these reports, Trump said: “No. No damage has been done. Nothing happened.”
Earlier, a U.S. official had told Reuters that the Islamic Republic’s attacks on the Muwaffaq al-Salt base had damaged several U.S. military aircraft.
The official said that in the attack, one A-10 Thunderbolt 2 aircraft lost a wing, and about eight F-15 fighters suffered minor damage.
Trump also said, regarding U.S. economic pressure on the Islamic Republic, that he does not know how long the Islamic Republic can withstand these pressures, adding that he expects this situation to be resolved after the November midterm elections or possibly sooner.
