“Factنامه” said the claim by Fars News Agency that 41 to 43 million people were present at the funeral ceremony for Ali Khamenei in Iran and Iraq is “exaggerated” and lacks logical backing, and gave it a “ridiculous” label.

In a report published on Tir 18, 1405, Fars News Agency had claimed that “official sources” estimated the total number of participants in the funeral ceremony for Ali Khamenei at about 41 to 43 million people. However, the Fars report did not provide any explanation about the identity of these “official sources” or the method used to calculate these figures.
