🔺 Execution of another detainee from the protests of Dey by the Islamic Republic
◾ The semi-official Mizan News Agency, affiliated with Iran’s Judiciary, reported on Wednesday that the Islamic Republic carried out the execution sentence of Mehdi Khankie, one of the detainees of the protests in Dey.
◾ Mizan News Agency, affiliated with the Judiciary of the Islamic Republic, claims that Mr. Khankie was executed on charges of “membership in a terrorist group,” “cooperation with Israel and the United States,” and “possession of weapons and explosive materials.”
◾ The Judiciary of the Islamic Republic claims that Khankie carried out operational activities for the benefit of Israel, the United States, and “hostile groups,” and participated in the construction of explosive equipment.
◾ So far, officials of the Islamic Republic have not released any details about the trial process, the evidence presented in court, or whether the defendant had access to an independent lawyer.
