🔶 Egypt and Oman: Iran’s repeated attacks on Gulf countries are a serious threat to regional security
Egyptian and Omani foreign ministers met and held talks with each other on Thursday, July 23 (1 Mordad), on the sidelines of the ASEAN foreign ministers’ meeting in Manila.
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, said that Badr Abdelatty and Badr al-Busaidi once again condemned Iran’s repeated attacks on countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and described the Egyptian foreign minister’s “intensive efforts to reduce tensions and bring together the views of the various parties.” Abdelatty also stressed Egypt’s full solidarity with Arab countries in the Gulf region and Jordan.
According to the statement, he described the Islamic Republic’s repeated attacks as an “overt violation of states’ sovereignty and a serious threat to regional security and stability,” and called for the immediate cessation of all tension-creating actions, as well as provocative and crisis-escalating behavior.
