🔶 CENTCOM announces the end of airstrikes against Iran for the 12th consecutive night

The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said that airstrikes against the Islamic Republic ended on the 12th consecutive night. In a statement, CENTCOM said the strikes ended at 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 23 (1 Mordad) local time in Iran.

The statement said that U.S. forces targeted Iran’s military objectives, including naval capabilities, missile and drone maintenance facilities, coastal surveillance and monitoring sites, and air defense systems, in order to further weaken Iran’s ability to attack commercial ships and their non-civilian crews in the Strait of Hormuz.

Referencing the deployment of 50,000 U.S. forces across the Middle East, CENTCOM emphasized that these forces are “at the highest level of readiness, highly capable for combat operations, and prepared to carry out missions.”

According to reports from Iranian media, in the early hours of Thursday a new wave of explosions occurred in some parts of the country.
