According to U.S. officials, the United States is sending more F-16 and F-35 fighter jets, along with refueling tankers, to the Middle East.

The move, which took place before Iran’s recent attack on Jordan in which two U.S. soldiers were killed, comes as tensions with Iran continue to rise.

According to an Israeli military official, some of these additional aircraft may be stationed at Israeli Air Force bases.
