Yemen government forces expanded their advance against the Houthis in several fronts on Tuesday and announced that they had taken control of the Al-Yatmah area in Al-Jawf province.

At the same time, a large-scale operation by government forces began in Al Bayda province, and fighting also continues on the western coast and in western Taiz.

The Yemen government forces say that after containing the Houthis’ ground attacks in recent days, they have now launched a counteroffensive and taken the initiative in several directions.

The advance in Al-Yatmah was announced one day after the recapture of the Al-Labanat area in the south of the region.
