The U.S. Army said the forces of the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) at 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, 2 Mordad according to Tehran time (equivalent to 9:00 p.m. on July 23, 2026, Eastern U.S. time) successfully brought to an end the 13th consecutive night of attacks on targets of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to a statement by the U.S. Army, military command centers, drone storage locations, communications networks, coastal surveillance sites, and the Islamic Republic’s naval capabilities were targeted. The statement said the purpose of these attacks is to further reduce the threats that the Islamic Republic poses against civilian mariners and commercial vessels transiting through the Strait of Hormuz.

The U.S. Army also said that despite recent attacks by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Strait of Hormuz remains open for passage and that commercial ships continue to transit freely in this international waterway with support from the U.S. Army.

At the end of the statement, it said that more than 50,000 U.S. military personnel are currently operating throughout the Middle East.
