The third edition of the international film festival “Woman, Life, Freedom,” has started, coinciding with the fourth anniversary of the government killing of Mahsa Zhina Amini. This year, the festival will be held in several cities in Australia, Europe, and North America, and part of its program is also available online. Paris hosted the festival on Tuesday night.
Atiq Rahimi, an Afghan writer and filmmaker and the head of the festival jury, told Sajede Sharifi, a reporter for Iran International, that “Woman, Life, Freedom” for him is more than a slogan; it is a statement about the right to life and freedom of human beings, and women can advance this movement.
