Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Vietnamese counterpart To Lam opened a laboratory for infectious disease study and prevention at the Joint Russian-Vietnamese Tropical Research Center, established in 1988.

The two leaders participated in the ceremony via videoconference from the Kremlin.
