🔻Mazi Tartar, the head coach of Persepolis, said about the cancellation of the match between this team and Khyber by the Pro League Organization: “We were surprised and shocked by this decision, because the club management and I had not submitted any request to cancel the match, and this decision was made unilaterally and without coordination. We had planned for training, traveling to Khorramabad, arranging tickets, and reserving a hotel.”
🔹Tartar said: “We are very dissatisfied with this decision, because it is at odds with a professional league. When the referees’ names are announced, it means the match is supposed to be held. If a unilateral decision was going to be made, why were all the matches of this week not canceled, and only some meetings were subject to this decision?”
🔹The Persepolis coach added: “Before the decision was made, we expressed our full opposition to the cancellation of the match and we want to play. From before, the time of the Asian matches had been specified, and despite our initial opposition and the harm to the team, we agreed for our three players to be present with the U-23 team’s camp in order to comply with the interests and national considerations.”
