Negahdari, on the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting program “Special News Dialogue,” said: “From Ordibehesht to Tir, 60 percent of people preferred a ceasefire and negotiations. From Tir to Shahrivar, it decreased from 60 percent to 45 percent.”

He added that this change means a 15 percentage point decrease in the positive outlook toward negotiations and a ceasefire.

The head of the Majlis Research Center of the Islamic Republic also reported an increase in support for confrontation and said the number of people who were in favor of confrontation, including those who considered “a preemptive attack on the United States” as their preferred approach, has increased by 10 percentage points.

In these remarks, Negahdari did not mention details of how the poll was conducted, the number of participants, or the level of support for each of the confrontation options.
