🔻 Iran: The U.S. targeting two Iranian vessels is a “war crime”

Gholamhossein Derzi, ambassador and deputy of Iran’s mission to the United Nations, in a letter to the Security Council, described the United States’ attack on the vessels “Naji-15” and “Naji-16” as a “serious and blatant violation of international humanitarian law” and an example of a war crime.

He said that when these two vessels were targeted, they were not involved in any military activity, and that the attack on them was deliberate.

The U.S. has yet to respond to this accusation and to the claim that the vessels’ activities were non-civilian.
