🔶 Iran claims attack on Jordan; Jordan claims interception of the missiles
The Public Relations of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced in a statement on Friday, 2 Mordad (24 July), that its aerospace force targeted the 27th wave of “Operation Nasr 2,” the U.S. base in Al Azraq, Jordan.
The statement claimed that, in this attack, several American fighter jets were damaged, locations of U.S. military personnel were targeted, and a number of them were killed and injured.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps also claimed that, in another operation, it targeted and destroyed a U.S. air defense system, a Patriot, a U.S. reconnaissance balloon, and the locations of U.S. forces in Erbil, Iraq, and warned that if it continued what it called “U.S. evil,” the Islamic Republic would respond “with different replies.”
This comes as, on the same day, the Jordanian army announced that the air defense systems and fighter jets of this country intercepted and destroyed seven missiles and six drones launched from Iran toward Jordan’s soil.
