🔻Continued rise in the exchange rate in Iran’s free market
The rise in the exchange rate in Iran continues, and in Tehran’s free-market trades today, one US dollar has reached more than 236,000 tomans.
In today’s transactions, the euro and the pound also reached more than 274,000 tomans and 320,000 tomans, respectively.
Concerns about the decline in the value of Iran’s national currency, considering the implementation of new US sanctions and the continuation of this country’s naval blockade, have led many to move their capital into parallel markets such as foreign exchange and gold.
With the implementation of new US sanctions, titled “economic expulsion,” the exchange rate in that country’s free market has risen sharply.
War conditions and the difficulty and lengthening of the transfer of goods to Iran have led to inflation higher than that of many items.
Many market participants in Iran say that the current situation of exchange-rate prices has contributed to sluggish business and business failures; many of them say that if they sell the goods they currently have, they will have to buy the same goods for a higher price.
