🔻 Call between the foreign ministers of Iraq and Saudi Arabia

Fouad Hussein, Iraq’s foreign minister, and Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister, spoke by phone early on Saturday, following the launch of a drone from Iraqi soil toward Saudi Arabia’s East-West oil pipeline.

According to a statement from the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the parties discussed “the latest developments in the region and issues of common concern” during the call.

Baghdad said the two sides emphasized “the importance of continuing communication, coordination, and consultation between the two countries.”
