U.S. Central Command ends weekend wave of attacks against Iran
TAMPA, Florida — U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) at 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, Eastern Time (Monday, July 29 at 05:30 a.m. Iran time), successfully concluded its ninth consecutive night of attacks against Iran.
CENTCOM forces targeted Iran’s military command centers, air defense systems, coastal surveillance bases, naval capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, as well as communications networks, in order to further weaken Iran’s ability to attack commercial ships and civilian mariners transiting through the Strait of Hormuz.
The U.S. Army, by order of the Commander-in-Chief, holds Iran accountable. CENTCOM forces remain at the highest level of alert and are ready, focused, and fully combat-capable.
