🔶 Turkey’s Ministry of Defense Condemned the Houthi Drone Attack on Saudi Arabia
Turkey’s Ministry of Defense condemned the Houthi drone attack on Saudi Arabia and other actions by the group, and called for an end to such actions that endanger regional stability.
According to Reuters, the ministry said that the ongoing threat posed by the Houthis in the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb strait puts not only regional security, but also international maritime trade and global stability at risk.
As the war in the Middle East expands and new threats to global oil supply emerge, reports indicate that people in Yemen are fleeing to avoid the fighting.
The International Organization for Migration said that more than 100,000 Yemenis have been displaced as a result of the recent fighting, and most of them are within Yemen’s territory.
The Houthis, who since last week following a rapid advance have taken control of the entire Red Sea coast of Yemen, say that Saudi Arabia’s air force has carried out hundreds of airstrikes in recent days.
In response, they have also fired missiles and drones toward targets across the border.
