These are not the nuclear weapons that create peace, but disarmament. This fact that in the past decades, when we saw a reduction in nuclear tensions, seemed clear, has now been forgotten amid an arms race that has caused fear and panic.

A world in which machines, however more advanced and faster than us, decide to bomb defenseless human beings would be truly horrifying. The conscience of a human being can be worth as much as the entire world.

Peace is a responsibility.

If our first reaction when confronted with a problem, experiencing tension, or being subjected to insults is to judge others, accuse them, and even condemn them, then indifference—and then hatred—will inevitably spread around us. There is another way to look at reality; one that builds rather than destroys. Peace begins with me. It begins with us.
