🔸The Sunday Times reported on Sunday, 15 Shahrivar, that two luxury apartments linked to Iran’s leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, in London, with a total value of £36 million, have been put up for sale.
🔸According to this report, these “penthouses” overlooking Kensington Palace were seized after Ali Ansari, the founder of the now-defunct “Ayandeh” Bank, was designated as an intermediary for Mojtaba Khamenei under sanctions, and are now being offered for sale.
🔸As written by The Sunday Times, the two apartments were purchased by Ali Ansari in 2014 and 2016.
🔸Last July, the U.S. Treasury Department announced that Ali Ansari, a businessman and founder of the now-defunct “Ayandeh” Bank, and several exchange houses affiliated with the Iranian government, were added to its list of sanctions.
🔸In the statement, Ali Ansari was described as a person who “oversees a broad network of assets around the world, and these assets are administered for the benefit of Mojtaba Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic, and other government elites.”
