🔻 The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which had published multiple images over the past hour attributed to a missile attack on locations in Jordan, said in a statement that it targeted the “American base Alazraq in Jordan.”

In a statement issued late Tuesday night, the IRGC said: “In this operation, with a heavy missile attack using solid and liquid-fuel ballistic missiles, the hangar for repair and maintenance, the preparation area and the location of F-15, F-16 and F-35 fighter jets, as well as the fighter hangars were hit, and severe damages” were inflicted.

The IRGC announced that these attacks were carried out in retaliation for U.S. attacks on Iranian oil tankers.

A few minutes earlier, CENTCOM had reported the targeting of five Iranian oil tankers in response to Iran’s attack on its warships, though it had specified that Iran’s attempt to attack those warships did not cause damage to them or to American forces.
