Reuters reports Britain, US and the Netherlands warn about spyware "Chozn Break"

Reuters reports that Britain, the United States, and the Netherlands have warned about the “Chozn Break” spyware, linked to the Islamic Republic, saying it is used to target opponents, activists, and journalists. The malware can steal emails and messages and gain access to social media, the microphone, and the device’s screen.

Mehdi Sarami-far, a science and technology journalist, noting the capabilities of “Chozn Break,” said that after installation the malware can read and manipulate files, capture images from the screen, and activate the microphone. He added that this operation has not only targeted Iranian civil society activists, and that research, military, and technology institutions have also been among its targets.
