Reports suggest that the United States has once again asked South Korea to provide military assistance for the protection of the Strait of Hormuz, but Seoul said it has not received any new request from Washington. The U.S. foreign minister also said that military cooperation by allies such as South Korea and Japan in the Middle East would be beneficial to them.
