Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary of State, said the Islamic Republic is clearly not ready to reach an agreement it will remain committed to, and the United States is increasing the cost of the Islamic Republic’s actions every night with nighttime strikes until it changes its approach.

He said on the sidelines of the ASEAN summit in Manila that officials of the Islamic Republic violate any agreement or, after signing it, seek to change its terms, which shows they are not prepared to reach a deal. He said: “They will be ready for an agreement soon, because the cost they pay is very high.”

The U.S. secretary of state also rejected media reports about differences among officials of the U.S. administration regarding Iran, and said Donald Trump, the U.S. president, is the chief negotiator, and members of his team play different roles depending on the issue.
