🔶 Oman summons Iran’s ambassador in protest over drone attacks
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman announced that Sheikh Khalid bin Hashel Al-Maslihi, the deputy of this ministry for administrative and financial affairs, has summoned Musa Faridun Farhang, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic.
According to this statement, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic was summoned to receive Oman’s protest note regarding the targeting of areas in the provinces of Musandam and Batinah with drones.
During this summons, the Omani official conveyed Oman’s displeasure with these actions, which he called “irresponsible,” and called for adherence to the principles of the sovereignty of states, good-neighborliness, non-interference in internal affairs, and respect for norms and ethical values between the two countries and the neighboring peoples.
In the latest round of reciprocal attacks between Iran and the United States, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has targeted areas in countries including Jordan, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain with its missiles and drones.
