Kayhan newspaper, in a note, in criticism of the remarks by Majid Ansari, the deputy of Masoud Pezeshkian, about the law on chastity and hijab being unenforceable, wrote: “Saving girls from the trap of the enemy’s espionage networks is a definite and undeniable duty of the system. What convincing answers do officials who today shirk responsibility with passive language have in their hands?”
The newspaper, which is published under the supervision of a representative of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, continued: “If preserving the hijab is an obligatory divine duty and the law’s explicit text, and if unveiling is a ruinous phenomenon that destroys the foundation of the family, then how does the legal deputy of the government, instead of offering legal solutions and untying the knots of implementation, openly speak of inefficiency?”
