Israel Hayom, citing regional diplomatic and security officials, reported that Saudi Arabia and Israel are in contact and in discussions with each other through CENTCOM. According to these officials, Riyadh has asked Israel for intelligence and other assistance to counter the attacks by the Houthis and to prevent the Bab al-Mandeb Strait from being blocked.

The report added that Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi Crown Prince, has requested assistance from regional countries to confront the Houthis. These requests were raised directly with other Gulf countries and Egypt, but the request for help from Israel was raised indirectly through the United States.
