Finland’s ambassador in Jordan called the Islamic Republic’s recent attacks on Jordan and several other countries in the region «unjustified and blind». Anne Masskanen condemned these attacks and announced her country’s full solidarity with Jordan.

Masskanen praised her country’s role in strengthening stability in the Middle East in an interview with Jordan’s official news agency, and emphasized that under all circumstances, civilians and civilian infrastructure must be protected.

In recent weeks, the Islamic Republic has repeatedly targeted Jordan; including firing a missile toward the city of Aqaba and the Al-Zarq base, with most of them being intercepted by Jordanian and U.S. air defenses. Anne Masskanen,
