Egyptian and Saudi Arabian foreign ministers, in a phone call, condemned the repeated attacks by the Islamic Republic on a number of Arab countries.
Based on a statement by Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Badr Abdelatty and Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud spoke on Sunday, Tir 28, about regional developments and efforts to reduce tensions.
Abdelatty announced Egypt’s full solidarity with the Gulf states and Jordan, and said these attacks are a clear violation of the sovereignty of countries and a serious threat to regional security and stability.
The two ministers agreed on the need to safeguard freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz on the basis of international law rules, and rejected any attempt to impose restrictions on transit through international waterways.
