▪ The price of the dollar in Iran’s free market crossed the 238,000-toman mark and set a new historical record.

▪ According to updates from gold and currency information websites, as of the time this news was being prepared, the price of the U.S. dollar was 238,100 tomans. Each British pound was traded at 321,000 tomans, the euro at 275,000 tomans, and the Imamí coin at 240 million tomans.

▪ On Wednesday, the dollar was 233,900 tomans. Today’s figure is close to 15% higher than the beginning of last week.

▪ The rates of the most important foreign currencies against the Iranian rial have increased by more than 4% over the past week, by about 30% over the past month, and by about 140% over the past year.
